We believe in the transforming grace of the gospel of Jesus Christ set forth throughout Scripture. The "Reformed" or Presbyterian faith is the way we express this centrality in the gospel, which we believe is enough to transform all things: personal thoughts, actions, relationships and behavior, as well as society.
CENTRALITY IN THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST
We believe that the gospel of Christ is the key and the center for everything we do, think, and are (Romans 1:16).
DISCIPLESHIP MODELED IN CHRIST
Jesus primary ministry was to make disciples, and it his primary call to the church and the goal of all our ministries. Discipleship is a relational work where the believer gives and receives in life with others. It involves teaching the Word of God. It is the Holy Spirit who changes the heart and begins the transformation of our lives with Jesus as a model.
FOCUS ON CITY TRANSFORMATION
Cities are relevant because they are the centers of culture for the rest of a nation. We have a firm conviction that the church of Christ needs to not only be in the city, but also is for the good of the city (Jeremiah 29: 1-7). As Christ was incarnated into the world, so his church needs to incarnate in its society and culture. We must learn how to contextualize the Bible’s message so that non-christian can understand the gospel and the love of Jesus.
CHURCH PLANTING MOVEMENTS
We strive to begin church planting movements in cities. This is better than planting single churches. Churches in isolation are not able to impact their cities, but a movement of many churches and Christian institutions can make a difference. A movement must be formed of churches and models that reach the different social groups of a city, so that no one is discriminated against and left without the opportunity to receive the gospel of Jesus.
